I can not believe that it has been since June that I last updated. Lots have happened since then!
Let's see...

~Kurt and I experienced a life changing trip to Honduras
~Cassi and Katy started a new year at school
~found out baby #4 is on it's way
~Cash turned 3
~Kurt and I went to Santa Fe to celebrate his sisters graduation
~Katy turned 8
~it's a boy!!!
~rang in 2011
~got in one last kid free trip to LA

.... And now at the end of February I am going to try to make a promise to update more often!

Cash's 1st Movie

As soon as I saw the first previews for Toy Story 3 I HAD to take the kids! I have always LOVED Toy Story and Cash loves Woody and Buzzy (as he calls him!). This was Cash's first movie and he did so good... the only part that he said anything was at the end when we had a minor meltdown that they couldn't just rewind it and watch it again! All in all it was a good time! =D

Cassi's 9th Birthday

I remember as a little girl every birthday my mom would go into the spill of "I remember x years ago today, blah, blah blah!" Well now as a mom I totally understand it. Where in the heck have the past 9 years gone? It seems like just yesterday I was holding my first born in my arms and now I can hardly keep up with my fashion diva! This year we had her first slumber party and she was so excited! Four of her friends showed up, which was plenty for me. The girls had a good time. They played charades, danced, made flip flops and bracelets, watched movies, ate pizza and cake... you know all the usual birthday party stuff! Cash already loved having his older sisters friends at the house and spent the whole time showing off! Then on Tuesday when the kids were back in school we had cupcakes with her class. All in all, I'd say she had a pretty good 9th birthday!

About half way through Cash's birthday party something very terrible happened... my camera broke. For me it's like losing a best friend!!! Well it was still working, but stayed zoomed out. Let me tell you my friends that makes taking pictures very difficult! So that means time for a new camera. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it! Here are a few pics from the first night of new camera fun!

Kurt's Birthday Weekend

Last weekend Kurt celebrated his ?? birthday. It was such an amazing weekend, we couldn't have asked for a better time! Friday after school we kicked of the weekend with the girls giving Kurt a mini party. Then we packed up the car and headed home. As soon as we got to town we went straight to the stadium to enjoy some Texas highschool football. Kurt was so proud not only taking Cash to his first football game, but also taking him to his old alma mater! We had so much fun wtching Cash watch the game and the crowd. We spent Saturday helping Kurt's parents move into their new house, it is so fun watching it all come togther. Then Saturday night we had the big birthday dinner with all the fam! I couldn't of asked for a better family to marry into, I love them all so much. The weekends are never long enough, Sunday afternoon we were headed back to Fort Worth to get ready for the week. Monday was the first day of school for the girls at their new school... so far so good! Last night at the 3rd grade parent orientation Cassi's teacher came up to me and said, "I just want to know how you raise such a sweet girl," it warmed my heart! I am really looking forward to this new school year...

Well friends... summer is coming to an end! Last night the girls had Meet the Teacher Night at their new school and got to check out their classrooms. They are now ready to start the new school year on Monday morning!
Today we had an end of summer celebration by spending all afternoon at the pool with friends followed by the Frisco Rough Riders game with the KidZone group from our church. It really was the best day we had all summer... so much fun!

On June 23 while at vacation bible school Cassi declared Jesus Christ as her Lord and prayed that He would come into her heart. We couldn't have been more proud of her! Last Sunday she made a public profession of her decision by being baptized. It truely was a special day for all of us. <><

One day I was sitting and watching Cash play and I thought man he is growing up so fast, it was just yesterday that the girls were his size and they are already in school! It was then that I realized that I need to take more video to capture the moments. I try not to go too crazy and record for long periods of time, I keep it to short clips here and there. Hope you enjoy them!

So on our looong ride home from Lubbock I decided to give Cash a little water bottle and see how well he could drink out of it. He did pretty good! Then I decided to pass the time by recording him (I am almost like the paparazzi!), so while he was drinking his water he heard dad singing and decided to sing along with him!

So decided to take a tour of Texas Stadium before it is gone, and it was incredible! We were the only ones that showed up for this particular time slot, so it was like we had the whole stadium to ourselves. We got to go in the luxury suites, the banquet hall, the locker room, through the tunnel and down onto the field! We had so much fun!

This year as we made our second trip to the mall to see Santa (who knew he left at 6pm?!) Cassi asks me, "So Mommy is Santa only at this mall?" and I reassure her that Santa has several helpers and we never know if we are lucky enough to be seeing the real Santa or if it is one of his helpers! "But I thought his helpers were this tall (holding her hand out at her chest) and had pointy ears."
"Oh Cassi he has all sorts of helpers. Those are probably the helpers that make the toys!"
So we make our way through Macy's and in line and as the girls are fighting over which one will hand Santa the note that they wrote him Cassi leans down to me where I am trying to keep Cash entertained and whispers, "Mommy when I get up in his lap I am going to try to look at his ears!!!"

After Cash was born I had several people ask me, "Is it different with a little boy than it was with the girls?". I'd always tell them, "Not really. I look at sprinklers a little differently, but that's about it!".
Well now that Cash is more mobile and has such his own little personality I find myself asking on a regular basis, "Why do boys have to be so destructive?"! He is such a little busy body it's hard to keep up! Today I decided to take pictures to one day have as evidence of how much of a mess he is! (Note- these pictures were taken all within about 5 minutes.)

CASSI TURNS 7!

Wow the last 7 years have flown by. It seems like just yesterday I was bringing Cassi home from the hopital, but she actually turned 7 on May 31.
So on the kids birthdays I like to make them feel as special as possible, even if that means spreading the celebration over a couple of days (some may say i go a little overboard, but they only grow up once!).
The Friday before her birthday Cash, Katy, and I took Cassi Sonic for lunch. Then, we suprised her with a High School Musical cupcake cake.
On the morning of her birthday I got up and made the usual birthday pancake breakfast and she got to open presents. I am pretty sure that her favorite gift was the tickets to go see the American Idols Live concert!
This year instead of a party Cassi decided to take a friend and her sister to go get manis and pedis and pizza at Palios. They had so much fun!

She is growing up to be such a beautiful young lady!
